About Shoalhaven Community Transport |
We are a community-based organisation offering transport to frail aged, people who are disabled, their carers and geographically transport-isolated people, for shopping, medical appointments, and social/recreational activities.
Our main office is in Nowra and a smaller office is at Ulladulla 65 kilometres south of Nowra.
We have at present 15 vehicles, 6 wheel chair assessable buses, 4 unmodified, 1 Wheel chair accessible Toyota Commuter bus and 4 cars, the fleet being less than eight years old.
All our buses have Department of Transport Accreditation.
We received the Premiers Award for Dedicated and Unselfish contribution to the community.
Community Transport provides transport to Home & Community Care clients 6 days per week at an average 7-hour day, with some volunteers working 3 days per week.
Bookings are essential, we do not do same day transport.
Volunteers are an integral and major asset to our service.
We have an Aboriginal Coordinator who organises transport for medical appointments, shopping, funerals, and social recreation.
