Travel Training

The Travel Training Service aims to help eligible residents become more independent by utilising transport available.

Whether it’s help understanding bus or train timetables or someone to travel with you on the bus or train so you can become confident, the Travel Training Service is free to eligible clients.
You don’t need to be a client of Community Transport but to be eligible you need to fit one or more of the following criteria:

  • Frail Aged – A person 65 years of age or over, or Indigenous Australian 50 years of age or over
  • Transport Disadvantaged – Transport isolated person who doesn’t have access to their own means of transport
  • Person with a Disability

We can assist you with advice and planning of your journey with the amount of help you receive dependent on your individual needs. Travel Training is available to individuals or in groups.
If you have any questions or would like more information please phone our Travel Training Educator, Deidre Baker.

You can download a referral package and brochure.
